Coordinated Entry is a standardized access, assessment, and referral process for housing and other support services across agencies in a community. It is part of a larger systems change to end homelessness. Nashville has a robust coordinated entry system, but it was not built with the complex physical and emotional needs of interpersonal violence survivors in mind.

In 2019, The Mary Parrish Center designed and implemented a parallel system allowing survivors in Nashville access to housing and support services that prioritize safety and confidentiality. It is one of the first of its kind in the country.

Our community partners who helped in the development process include Metro’s Homeless Impact Division, Metro’s Office of Family Safety, the YWCA, and Morning Star Sanctuary.
