Our deepest heartfelt thanks to Vanderbilt Greek Life for raising $49,127.00, the largest contribution from a single donor that we have ever received in our 13 year history!!
Traditionally, Friday nights at Vanderbilt are reserved for individual fraternity parties. Instead, all 13 fraternity chapters on campus made an unprecedented decision to come together to support one unified event. 1,200 students attended Lights on the Lawn on October 18, 2013 to enjoy live music and celebrate the resiliency of the women of The Mary Parrish Center.
The money raised by Vanderbilt Greek-Life students will assure that The Mary Parrish Center For Victims of Domestic & Sexual Violence (MPC) can continue to provide safe, loving homes free of charge for one full year to 11 homeless domestic and sexual violence victims and their children.
We are forever grateful and look forward to what we are going to do together for next year’s Lights on the Lawn!
Thank you to the wonderful people at Bob Frensley-Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge, for generously donating a van to the MPC. We are so thankful to have a reliable and safe vehicle to continue helping the women and children of our program.
Thank you to our other generous contributors!
